Cordell works for AMD in the Radeon Technology Group. As of 2025, his job is to facilitate the packaging of AMD's GPU compute libraries for Debian and other distributions. Prior to this, he was upstream developer of the rocSOLVER GPU linear algebra library from 2020 to 2025, and had been volunteering with the Debian ROCm Team since 2021. He is a software engineer with a master's degree in computer graphics and fifteen years of professional experience in C++.

A meeting for current and aspiring contributors to discuss topics and plan work related to the AMD ROCm platform for GPU compute on Debian. Suggested topics include Debian tooling support for HIP language, accelerator architectures in package metadata, the continuous integration system, and how to improve coordination between AMD and the Debian community.

This BoF is intended for anyone interested in contributing to the packaging of ROCm on Debian or libraries that depend on ROCm for GPU acceleration.
