New contributors onboarding

Every day during DebCamp, just after breakfast time, have a 1-h period for new contributors to have basic tutorials on topics that would facilitate their onboarding process. Some of the topics in the menu:

  • Using Debian: Debian installations, Live CDs, Virtual machines, containers
  • Communication: Mailing lists, IRC, Matrix
  • Accounts creation: wiki, salsa, contributors.d.o
  • Bugs: BTS and salsa issues
  • Encryption 101 and why/where/how it is used in Debian
  • Packaging clinic: having your packaging questions answered

And of course, participants would be encouraged to bring their own topics of interest, and those would be added to the menu (and maybe to the “new contributors survival kit” presentation).
