Debian needs new contributors! Desperately. They give us fresh perspectives, jolts of raw energy and enthusiasm that few established members of the community can match.

Yet any large organization is bound to have dark corners for newcomers to get lost in when taking their first steps in our circles and we’re no different. A tragic waste of scarce volunteer energy.

Let’s get together to discuss ways to pave and illuminate the path for newcomers through Debian’s jungle of unwritten social convention, policy and process.
